What we do
Service Projects are selected by members of the Exchange Club for organizations from our speakers affiliations, community and youth activities, and National Exchange recommendations that benefit the Bellevue community. Our Current Projects
Below are the projects and activities in which we are currently involved:
- Sponsors “Youth of the Month” for High School students based on academics, extracurricular activities, and character
- Displays U.S. Flags on Highway 70S at Colice Jeanne Road around patriotic Holidays and events
- A sponsor of the Lawson High School score board
- Serves Veterans breakfast on Veterans Day at Bellevue Y
- Donates to Bellevue Food Bank
- Supports The Family Center and Nashville Children's Alliance - prevention of child abuse and neglect projects and positive parenting programs
- Sponsors the Bellevue Bulk Trash Drop-off & Recycling Event
- Charters the Bellevue Scout Troop
Past Projects
- Donated for community financial assistance to victims of the Creekwood Apartments fire.
- Donated to Bellevue Food Bank. (See news and photos section)
- Donated to Red Caboose Playground rebuild. (See news and photos section)
- Donated to BELL Garden for Irrigation System. (See news and photos section)
- Donated to J. L. FiftyForward Senior Transportation Program. (See news and photos section)
- Partnered with “917 Society” to distribute pocket-size US Constitutions to middle school students. (See news and photos section)
- Encourages National Exchange program “Give a Kid a Flag to Wave” and placed “Freedom Shrines” of American and democracy historical documents in local schools.
- Contributed funds to the development of the “Interactive History Wall” inside the Bellevue Branch of the Nashville Public Library.
- Raised more than $64,000 to provide many Bellevue 2010 flood victims with home repair gift cards.
- Provided pre-programmed Weather Radios with storm alerts for seniors.
- Organized numerous fundraisers to support youth and community activities.
- Initially funded the one-acre BELL (Bellevue Edible Learning Lab) School Garden behind Bellevue Middle Prep school and continues to provide support to the garden, including the Victory Garden.
- Purchased a 14-passenger transportation van for the FiftyForward J. L. Turner Lifelong Learning Center to Supports transportation programs for homebound seniors by holding several roasts of prominent Bellevue residents.
- Supported Operation Stand Down Tennessee (OSDTN) programs helping veterans with housing and securing employment.
